Girum Assefa
Founder & Enterprise Data / AI Architect
Girum Assefa is an Enterprise Data & AI Architect with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations design, modernize, and govern cloud-native data and AI platforms. He specializes in Azure, AWS, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, AI governance, enterprise data architecture, and Generative AI, enabling organizations to build secure, scalable, and AI-ready solutions.
As the founder of Data Fusion Analytics, Girum partners with organizations to modernize data platforms, implement enterprise governance, optimize cloud investments, and accelerate AI adoption through practical architecture and executive advisory services. His experience spans Fortune 500 organizations across financial services, energy, manufacturing, transportation, and media.
Girum is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Technology (expected 2027), where his research focuses on operationalizing AI governance through enterprise data infrastructure maturity for cloud-based AI systems. His research is directly applied to the consulting methodologies and AI Governance solutions offered by Data Fusion Analytics, helping organizations assess AI readiness, strengthen governance, reduce risk, and build trusted enterprise AI platforms.
